Sitting upright from lying down flat, I am grateful!
Stretching my legs to snap in line, making my rise graceful, I am grateful!
To move each leg without a cry of pain, I am grateful!
To sashay around to gentle, musical sounds, I am grateful!
Watching professional dancers, twirling around in leaps, lifts and whole-body activity, I am grateful!
Now to watch and remember days gone by when I could fly.
Now I am grateful to be pain-free and quiet to just be me.
