I often sit for afternoon tea
With no cake placed in front of me.
I’m Gluten-Free!
Watching others devouring
Small decorated tasty delights,
With small noises as they disappear
Appreciatively out of sight.
Today surprise, surprise!
I cheekily asked for any Gluten-Free.
Yes, we had a McMillan bake in today!
So on offer is chocolate
Or pistachio Gluten Free cake.
Shrieks of delight burst from me.
As I enjoyed and took full part
In the Afternoon Tea.
