To the sea, to the sea; driving down the A3.
Traffic hold-ups here and there hindering me.
Family on board, packed in tight.
Kayaks secured fast, against being tugged, off out of sight.
Causing an accident that would not be right.
To the sea to the sea; weather is just what is needed.
Sunshine, no rain and light breezes.
We have arrived. This is where we are staying; it looks just fine.
Unpack the luggage; then it is kayak time.
Together we carry them down to the water’s edge.
To be launched into the sea, the sea, the element they were built for.
Wading out, chilling legs to climb aboard, to take the first paddle dips.
Now we are both able to enjoy the freedom and challenge of the weather and the sea.
Taking new memories and thrills of seaside kayaking adventures into the future.
