SPOOKY DO

 

Halloween, a real spooky do, is here once more.

Screams of fear and pure delight fill the air and give us a fright.

As darkness creeps in, it all begins.

Figures in the darkest robes with scary faces flit amongst us with demands of trick or treat.

Spiders dangle in paper webs in doorways.

Knocks on doors and scary noises.

Trick or treat: what are your choices?

Any hesitation and a trick will be played right away.

Windows dressed with temporary scary faces.

Pumpkins, with eyes scarily glowing, keep the shivers going.

Outdoor campfires in the dark, lit by torches, make the normal sights scary to give you a fright.

As you search for witches and broomsticks in the treetops all around.

Fireworks and sparklers start, under supervision, to light up the night with squeals of awe and delight.

For those unable to leave home, look out for clocks with hours so crazy, with important items cling film-wrapped, door handles sticky to the touch.

With fingertips glowing in the dark, with magic little caps.

Films and videos for all ages, just waiting for a gathering together at a suitable witching and sweet-eating time.

When Mr Sandman comes to call, closing eyelids kept open in excitement past bedtime, keep the memories close inside of these Halloween, special, fun, scary times with families, friends, and whole neighbourhoods.

Wishing everyone a fun, safe, scary, Halloween night. Just remember to keep your pets safe, as they do not understand what all the noise is about.
