GOODBYE AND HELLO

Goodbye and hello uttered within hours

Churns up emotions, suppressed and expressed.

Goodbye brings waves of sadness and question.

When will we meet again?

Hello, releases joyous expectations,

Of hugs, kisses, everyone talking at once.

Tinged with the memories of goodbye,

So recently painfully uttered to those left behind.
